Finally getting busy here in DC area.

-Starting my second job today at the Captial City Ale House, a nice resturant that brews their own beer on premesis

- Working on the curriculum for the high schools we (joseph, Lonnie, Myself and others) are running for our after school program on poetry and performance. I’ve been assigned one high school for myself, and the kids are fantastic. After one meeting, I am really excited about this.

-CUPSI (the national collegiate poetry slam tournament), rewriting the emcee spiel, bout manager duties, and the judges pep talk. Also putting together a mandatory emcee crash course for all the people who will be hosting bouts during the tournament. And, making workshops for poets who want to be able to host shows and run a venue. Oh, did I mention I’ll be hosting the finals again?

-Beltway Poetry Slam- I have taken over as bout manager (and maybe a substitute host) for the DC venue that sent the 5th ranked team to nationals this year.

- Reading and writing.

It usually takes me a few months, but I am excited to be getting involved and out and about in a new place, and not being so broke.
